Ballyliffin to host 2008 Irish Seniors Open
The Irish Seniors Open will be played over one of Ireland’s finest links courses with the announcement that the 2008 edition will be played at Ballyliffin Golf Club in the North West of Ireland, from June 20-22. Teen sensation Rory rounds off superb season with Rosapenna Scratch Cup
TEENAGE sensation Rory McIlroy rounded off the season on a high note by winning the inaugural 36-hole Rosapenna Scratch Cup last weekend. The event, played on the Pat Ruddy-designed Sandy Hills Links, attracted some of Ireland’s top amateurs. In fact, on display in the Pavilion were the British Amateur, South of Ireland, East of Ireland, West of Ireland and Irish Close titles – all of them won by three Ulster players.Read more
